Hello everyone,
I hope you are all ok and that 2013 is being good to you so far.
I have decided to start a new blog but to do it very slowly and it is just going to be about the things I make.
I like to have a reference telling me when I made something and what materials I used, etc. and it's nice to see my creations out there in blogland and also, I miss you guys!
My new blog is called Cosy Times and you can find it here.
I really hope you will come and visit.
Lots of love xxx

Goodbye...for now.
Hello everyone,
After careful consideration, I have come to the decision to close my blog. There have been some family problems which, I am happy to tell you, are now sorting themselves out but my blog takes up a lot of my time and I think that time will be better served concentrating on my family for the foreseeable future.
I want to thank each and every one of you for being so welcoming, supportive and downright lovely and I am going to miss you all. Maybe one day, when I have more time to myself, I will start another blog and I will come and find you all.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

More Crochet Cushions
Happy Friday everyone,
While I was having a little break from my blog I was awarded the Liebster Award from Maree. Thank you Maree, it is very much appreciated and I will post about it properly next time.
I have also won a giveaway which is very exciting. This was from Jo and I am looking forward to receiving my goodies and using the fat quarters in my Log Cabin quilt. You may remember that some lovely ladies sent me fabric for this quilt so I could remember them whenever I looked at it. Thank you ladies, you know who you are and I have finally gotten round to putting a little thank you in the post. Well, they're ready to be posted anyway, I was determined to do it! Sorry for the delay and thank you once again.
I have also gotten my act together and finally taken photos of the other cushion covers I told you about.
I had to take them in Samantha's room because the sun was shining it's happy face into my living room and I couldn't get a good pic, although these are not perfect either.
They are now in my shop, which I really must advertise better because I've only sold one thing in six months. Not very good going, is it?
I'm off to see the new James Bond film tonight with Laura and Carl, it's nice to have something to look forward to.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Patchwork pillows
Hello everyone, happy Tuesday,
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my cushion covers. It seems that most of you agree that a crochet panel attached to a ready made cushion cover is the way to go as it's easier and does indeed do away with the stretching of the crochet, plus you get a ready made zip which is really an added bonus as I hate to do things like that. Actually, I have never tried inserting a zip but am pretty sure I would hate it. And now I don't have to try...Yay!
So...I am happy and don't feel like I am cheating anymore. ***THANKYOU***
While I was on my hiatus I made a patchwork pillowcase. I had actually bought the pillowcase to use as fabric for my Log Cabin quilt (which has been put on the back burner but not forgotten about), but I was a bit loathe to cut it up as it's 100% Egyptian Cotton and I already had these little squares cut up so I made this...
At first I just admired it on my bed and moved it carefully when I went to sleep but now I am actually using it! It's very colourful and brightens up my bed no end. I'm planning to make another with patchwork triangles.
I also hung the picnic quilt over my bed. The walls are painted white (which still need to be smartened up from when Samantha had the room, you know what kids are like) so a burst of colour was just what they needed.
I've just used safety pins on the back of the quilt and hung them on nails but I should really make a sleeve for the quilt and slide a pole through and attach it to the wall because the quilt will hang better but it's fine for the moment.
You've probably seen my Autumn blanket far too often but I just love it so. It's keeping me warm on these chilly nights.
I hope all you mummies are enjoying half term. I am, I got up at 11.15 yesterday, that's unheard of for me so I must have needed it. This morning I got up at 7.30 because I was waiting for postie to bring Gary Barlow tickets for Laura and her boyfriend Carl. They're very excited. They tried to buy tickets as soon as they went on sale but had to get them from Ebay in the end for double the price. The annoying thing is that 20 minutes after the tickets went on sale they were being sold on Ebay for double. These people don't even want to go, they're just making it harder and more expensive for the true fans. Oh well, they've got them now and I'm sure it will be brilliant.
Only 9 weeks today to Christmas, folks. Sorry.
